God is the reason and creator of all things Both seen and unseen. By His Word He sustains and upholds Every galaxy And every cell in our human frame. He is the most powerful, influential, gentle, kind, terrifying and approachable being He is the fountain of all life. He is above all and in all. He is omnipresent, And at the same time He sits on a throne where for ages past He has been loved and adored by creature, angels and saints. He is three in one: Father, Son and Spirit. He is mysterious and other than. He is the Desire of all nations and of every human heart. He is desire Himself. He is passion and love. He is justice and mercy. His greatness is unsearchable and He is light unapproachable, yet His revelation is attainable. God has revealed Himself through the face of His Son Jesus Christ. Jesus is the way to the knowledge of God. His life on earth, those 33 years, gives us insight into the values of God, His character and desire. Jesus revealed the glory of the Father, His humility and infinite wisdom. He loves righteousness and hates wickedness. Jesus, who is God, is the most glad of all men. He loves without reservation or walls. He freely gives, freely loves and freely invites all who want to drink deep from the knowledge of the Godhead to come. He is a Father filled with longing to bring His children into confident partnership. He is Abba, adopting the orphan. He is fully satisfied within Himself yet He desires all of humanity to partake in the abundant pleasures found in Him. After all we were made for Him: in His image and for His pleasure. He is the best author, He is fully confident in His plan and leadership: all knowing, sovereign, beautiful! He is caring and relational. He is the author of love and romance. He is faithful to the end and a pursuer of His Bride who has forgotten Him many times. He is a Bridegroom, who longs to bring His Bride to enjoy intimacy without shame. He is filled with emotions and lets us see them. He is the Weeping Servant. He weeps over every injustice He is the Joyful Savior. He rejoices over a sinner’s repentance. And this never gets old for Him. His ways are higher and His kingdom from heaven. He invades earth with the culture of His Kingdom through the third person of the Trinity: the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit reveals His power. He is a healer, a comforter, a teacher of all His ways. He draws and awakes the human heart to the knowledge of God. He searches the deep things of God and makes it known to those who ask. He is the whisper that leads the hungry soul to righteousness and life abundantly. God is the most fascinating being. He is real and He is alive! He is eternal and infinite. He is selfless and meek. He is zealous and glorious. Without Him, nothing that is would be. It is due to His outrageous kindness that we get to live even when the very reason for life, God, is ignored and hated. Creation celebrates Him. Every sunrise speaks of Him. Every rainbow shouts of His faithfulness. He is the defender of the weak, the friend of the lowly. He is beauty and light. No enemies can withstand His hand. Nations rage and He sits and laughs. Even death had to submit to His power. The enemy plots against Him and He brings forth a blameless Lamb and from his side a spotless Bride. Hallelujah! Glory to God in the highest! There is no one like Him! All the peoples of the earth, Behold your Maker and God. Worship Him only! Have you ever thought long enough about the implications of God wrapping Himself in human flesh? Have you ever thought about Jesus being mothered by His daughter, Mary? I'm attending a summer class right now called "Excellencies of Christ". One of our assignments was to write 20 questions to Mary about her relationship and interactions with Jesus. How did Mary carry her heart while raising God and seeing Him grow in spirit, grace and wisdom? "Mary kept all these things and pondered them in her heart." This class is provoking my heart to ask real questions. Ask Him about His life, think upon his days on earth. Here I'm posting 25 questions to Mary by Max Lucado. I love the way he allowed himself to think deeply of the reality of the Incarnation. Jesus, as a baby made contemplation possible for all of us. Him as a man made war against religion. He is so other than! “25 Questions For Mary” |
